Musicians have long play years violin music in the Appalachian mountains, but it was not until 1927 Bristol Tennessee signed the first recording country music recording. Victor records signed this year Jimmie Rodgers and the Carter family.

Jimmie Rodgers was born in Meridian, Mississippi, 1897. Originally he worked at the railways until his health got him and it was only during this time that he his previous love followed entertaining. In 1927 he followed word, Victor records were a portable recording studio set up and made the way there. He immediately signed and sat, recording and playback of music, until his death in 1933.

In 1965 he was one of the first musicians into the country music hall of Fame are added in 1961 with Hank Williams and Fred rose. Victor records signed on the same day as Jimmie Rodgers, did so the Carter family, which would become one of the most famous country music bands of all time. They remained with Victor of records until 1936. Not even divorce could separate the band and continued until 1939 with Decca record. Things, that started to hit a rough patch at this stage, despite signing for universal and finally Victor records, the band disbanded in 1941.

It is widely recognised that it was in this big day in 1927 to the introduction of country music in the rest of the country. Jimmie Rodgers and the Carter family were met with huge critical acclaim and became incredibly popular help to sell a large number of records. Country music singers and bands of today are often talk about the Carter family or Jimmie Rodgers as their influence and with very good reason.
